How to Request Data Removal

To request deletion of your PlateWise account and related data, please send an email to:

Please include the following information in your email:

• Your registered email address
• Your user ID, if available
• Whether you want to delete your full account or only specific data
• Any additional details that help us identify your account

What Data Can Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, we may delete data associated with your PlateWise account, including:

• Account information
• Profile information
• Height, weight, age, gender, and activity level
• Calorie and macro targets
• Meal history
• Food scan results
• Uploaded meal photos
• Weight tracking data
• Water tracking data
• Daily nutrition progress
• App preferences linked to your account

Guest Mode Data

If you use PlateWise without creating an account, some data may be stored only on your device.

To remove locally stored guest data, you can:

• Delete the PlateWise app from your device, or
• Clear the app data from your device settings

We may not be able to recover or delete guest data stored only on your device because it is not linked to an online account.

Data That May Be Retained

Some limited information may be retained when required for:

• Legal obligations
• Fraud prevention
• Security purposes
• Payment or transaction records, if applicable
• Compliance with app store or platform requirements

Any retained data will only be kept for as long as necessary.

Processing Time

We aim to process valid data removal requests within 30 days.

If we need more information to verify your identity or locate your account, we may contact you using the email address provided in your request.

Important Note

Deleting your PlateWise account may permanently remove your saved meals, progress history, photos, calorie targets, and other app data. This action may not be reversible.
